I’d Welcome An accurate Support Class  June 15 2016

As my last Black color Desert Online column for a couple of weeks while I have a long overdue vacation, I thought I’d keep this outing additional light hearted. As much as I’d prefer to continue to bang the particular drum about exploiting or players abusing the overall game, I think that discussion has been well and truly flogged.

Over the week some friends and I were talking about our favorite things in flash games. While the topic covered typical subjects like PvP, classes and exploration, it dawned on me that i well and truly overlook supporting others. The introduction of the actual druid in Crowfall reminded me of just how much I miss playing exactly the same class in Warcraft and how - as far as I’m concerned - handful of classes have ever come near to offering something so enjoyment and versatile. As time has eliminated on developers have continued to lessen the role of assist classes from being mandatory for nearly everything, to a fringe role that’s complementary rather than a necessity. The pursuit of ensuring all content is always possible by yourself can be, at times, welcome. Unfortunately a certain dynamic has also been lost and in lots of respects, it’s a great shame that forming a gaggle to complete content or perhaps pairing with another to compliment 1 another now nonexistent. Even in Black Desert Online the only need to join a party together with anyone is for increasingly more damage. It isn’t necessary in order to survive or to obtain some type of utility that helps you through an encounter: that’s a real disgrace.

Many years ago I recall a close friend and I might regularly roam Azeroth like a druid and rogue. Our combined ability to stealth while sporting valuable utility and healing achieved it a frightening combination. The flexibility of my class (the druid) coupled with his burst and stun-locking on a regular basis allowed us to roam along with impunity. We were often searched for and regularly defeated teams of players much stronger in comparison with ourselves. While it’s certainly probable to pair-off in African american Desert Online and any other MMO even, such symbiotic relationships not often exist.

Games such as Guild Competitions 2 have further support the “we don’t get healers! ” as a selling point and yet the introduction from the druid as an top-notch specialization - despite being a very poor interpretation regarding my beloved class - goes much. In a game where you can find no healers, the need to introduce one as a result of raid content is laughable: support classes should have always existed. Unfortunately for Guild Competitions 2 they’ve now backed themselves into a corner where there’s just one “healer” and it’s often highly desired.

Introducing such heavy heavy has also skewed other areas connected with Guild Wars 2 to the point where it trivializes many content or makes calling parties near indestructible. If they’d have resolved during the birth on the game to have numerous support classes, they wouldn’t find themselves where there're now and content already delivered has been so much stronger due to it. You only have to think about the strength of WildStar’s dungeons to view the validity in the argument.

I know many reading this article would dread the very thought of Black Desert Online getting support classes and much like Guild Wars 2, the introduction of them might have a profound effect about the game and its written content. That doesn’t mean however who's couldn’t work and definitely the addition of several support classes compared to yet more damage dealers could quickly balance out the landscape. I know that the Valkyrie form of offers support, but it’s so loose nonetheless so damage focused that it’s nowhere near to what I envisage as soon as discussing this topic.

I've spoken in the past about the introduction involving classes and now it isn't always positive but considering Daum appear intent on continuing to produce them, I’d more than delightful one that’s orientated around taking good care of others than achieving everything - constantly - by themselves. Better yet, if they could make the one that shape-shifts and which can comfortably become a hybrid with damage as well as healing, I’d be over this moon.

What are your thoughts on the possible lack of support classes in Dark Desert Online? Do you like the actual fact “healers” are now on the fringes on the style? Would you like to discover the arrival of a support oriented class? Let me know along with I’ll see you in a fortnight!
